There are 2 tests SEC uses to assign students to an appropriate class — (1) the written one, and (2) the oral one. The written placement test of 22 multipe choice grammar questions will be sent out prior to the student’s arrival. Please complete the test and send it back to us at least one week before your first day of class. You can do the written test right now, if desired, or any time it is convenient. You don’t have to “cram” for it, the test is just to find out “where you are right now” and continue on from there at the SEC. There is an online way to take the 15 minute written evaluation test which is very easy to use for students and SEC staff. The URL is below:
¿ARE YOU READY TO TAKE THE EXPERIENCE?
We start each Monday of every week throughout the year for all levels. We recommend that students arrive at 8:30 on their first day for orientation, at that time they will take a tour of the school and complete their speaking placement test.

Classes are held Monday through Friday all year long except during national holidays as listed below. Our classes are organized in weekly cycles, which allow the students to progress at their own pace. There will be a maximum of 6 students per class (8 during high season).
This allows us to work with every student individually and at the same time to provide them with the benefit of learning in a group setting. Our programs are designed to teach grammar through conversation and structured learning activities. They will receive personal attention and support, so they can progress at their own speed.
